elete Electrolyte Add-In Military Donation
Overview
elete has committed to donating approximately $100,000 worth of electrolytes to provide nearly two weeks’ worth of elete Electrolyte Add-In ™ free of charge to one percent of U.S. deployed military troops.
Many of the deployed U.S. troops, particularly those stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan, are vulnerable to heat fatigue and dehydration. Normally, a solider suffering from the life-threatening and debilitating effects of heat fatigue and dehydration must receive immediate medical care, which means they are off duty for a minimum of at least one day often with significant adverse side effects including nausea and headaches. Medics have reported to elete that soldiers prefer to drink electrolyte water fortified with elete due to its lack of any intense flavor. Further, soldiers suffering from heat fatigue who are treated with water fortified with elete Electrolyte Add-In are back up and functional with no remaining side effects within a very short period of time.
Scope of Donation
This donation from elete includes special packaging and dosing tailored for military medics. Medics will receive 100 pre-measured doses of elete Electrolyte Add-In to which medics should add to 16 oz. of water and administer to soldiers suffering from heat fatigue.
For units of 10 to 12 soldiers, elete will provide 1, 24.6-ml pocket bottle, which makes 10, 32 oz. servings of electrolyte water for each soldier plus a 16 oz. refill bottle that makes 48 gallons of electrolyte-fueled drink and will refill the pocket bottles for the unit members.
Expectations
As a member of the U.S. military, if you would like to participate in this program, please e-mail elete with the contact information for the S4 officer or responsible person for your unit/group.
Second, whether it is the supply officer or another responsible person in the unit, please designate an individual and provide their name and contact information who will provide a written report on how the elete Electrolyte Add-In donation was used and the particular benefits and effects that were noted.
